Tax refund is a payment made by the Inland Revenue to the person who overpaid Income Tax.
This may occur if you have been charged on the emergency tax code (BR) or has not been working for a full tax year.

When can I make a claim?
You can make a claim when you are paid too much tax and usually after tax year has finished. You can also claim during the current tax year but only if you are leaving the United Kingdom and do not intend to take any employment until 5th April.

How many years refund can I claim for?
You can claim tax refund for the last 6 years.
Providing you are due a refund.
UK financial year (tax years) from 6th April to 5th April the following year (2003/04 starts on 6th April 2003 and ends on 5th April 2004)
What will I need to make a claim?
You will need Original Documents
P45 for each employment you have had during the tax year (given to you at the end of each employment)
Temp employers may obtain a financial statement from there agency.
P60 from the company where you were employed at the end of tax year.
All CIS Vouchers (CIS stands for Construction Industry Scheme) given to you from your employer/s during the tax year
(if you have ever worked in Construction Industry)
Please note that if you were given CIS Vouchers please provide us with Self Assessment Tax Return sent to you by the Inland Revenue in April.
You may claim your overpaid tax during current tax year because you are leaving the United Kingdom you may also do so.
Statement of Earnings from your employer only if you have lost your original P45 or P60.

How long will it take?
It usually takes between 4-8 weeks.
How much do you charge?
We charge only 16% + VAT of your total repayment made by the Inland Revenue (subject to minimum charge of £40) . It is, of course, deducted from the payment so you do not need to pay up front. Our policy is No Refund.
